I am personally responsible for developing and nurturing a the definitive East Coast netplay events for Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, my fighting game of choice. From supplying potential players with paid copies, to running, commentating, moderating, and even competing in our biweekly tournaments, I’ve created a thriving community for a game otherwise left to niche devices. Frequented by world class players (such as Crocs n Socks, Solstice, Yousagi and more) and beginners alike, we alternate between Guilt-a-Gear Workshop, an open lobby for learning the game, and Dustbowl, our professionally hosted Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 tournaments. My services continue to thrive by assisting in other large scale FGC projects such as TSB and WASD as well.
Tiamat Syndicate
Tiamat Syndicate is our premier New York based Esports community. Operating out of our Bronx venue, we provide the local community with a variety of Esports events and tournaments, both offline and online- from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate weekly locals to Guilty Gear and even Pokémon VGC, we run high-level professional events for the games people want to play. Our twitch channel streams multiple times a week, advertising our events in realtime- so that you can participate even when you’re not present; 50+ tournaments and we’re still going strong!
Collegiate Outreach
But it doesn’t stop there. As a host for local events, Tiamat Syndicate would be nothing if not an avenue for aspiring local talent to expand their horizons and meet with the competition they crave. Our collegiate outreach includes facilitating college tournaments, scouting talent within academia, and providing the lesser-known capillaries of NYC with a venue and network to interact with and compete with a growing Esports scene that they would otherwise be unable to remain active in- be it finances, anemic facilities, or even just distance.
